Homcom Foldable Electric Scooter for kids 120W 24V Black — Expert curated guide
The Homcom Foldable Electric Scooter for kids 120W 24V Black is a compact, foldable children’s e-scooter designed for youngsters aged 7 and over. With a robust metal frame and a net weight of 10 kg, it carries up to 50 kg — making it suitable for most children and smaller teens. The twin 12V 5AH batteries (24V total) typically give a riding range of around 6–8 km from a full charge; charging time is approximately 6–8 hours. Adjustable handle height (84–94 cm) and adjustable seat height (50–60 cm) ensure a comfortable fit as your child grows. Folded dimensions are 75 L x 16 W x 32 H (cm), meaning it stores more easily than many non-folding models and fits most car boots.
From the experience of our managers at FastDaddyshop, this 120W (24V) scooter delivers noticeably better acceleration and hill-start capability than many 100W children’s scooters, while still remaining light at 10 kg. Our consultants often recommend it for short, supervised rides on private land — it’s ideal for backyard, driveway or private-park use. Important legal note for UK customers: it is illegal to ride privately owned powered scooters on public roads, pavements or cycle paths in Great Britain; they are intended only for use on private land with the landowner’s permission (rental e-scooters operated under authorised trials are a separate case).
Practical safety and battery advice from FastDaddyshop: always fully charge the batteries before first use and charge in a dry environment at ambient temperatures between 0°C and +40°C; avoid charging below 0°C. Store the scooter in a cool, dry place (recommended storage range approximately −10°C to +45°C). Never exceed the specified weight capacity of 50 kg and supervise younger riders. For best battery life, avoid leaving the battery discharged for extended periods and disconnect the charger when charging is complete.
