Kids' Step Stools for Bathrooms, Kitchens and Independence

Reaching the sink to brush teeth, washing hands properly before dinner, or helping out at the kitchen counter — a good step stool makes daily routines something a child can manage on their own. Whether you need something sturdy enough for the bathroom, a helper stool for the kitchen, or a stable step for reaching a wardrobe rail, FastDaddyshop stocks children's step stools built with grip and stability specifically in mind. On our site you can order single-step stools around 15 cm high for toddlers aged 18 months and up, two-step stools reaching 25–30 cm for children up to age 6, and non-slip kitchen helper towers that raise little ones safely to worktop height.

Choosing a kids' step stool: what our customers ask most

• What height stool suits my child's age? Our consultants often advise a single 12–15 cm step for children aged 18 months to 3 years, moving to a two-step stool of 25–30 cm for ages 4–6 who need extra reach at the bathroom sink. From the experience of FastDaddyshop's managers, checking the stool height against the actual sink or worktop is more reliable than going by age alone, since fittings vary between homes.
• Non-slip base or standard feet — which is safer? In practice, a rubberised non-slip base is worth the extra cost on any surface, but especially so on tiled bathroom floors, which get slippery when wet. We'd flag an expert caution: always check the base grips securely even when the floor is damp, not just when dry.
• How much weight can a step stool hold? From experience, most children's step stools are rated to around 25–30 kg, which comfortably covers most children up to age 6 or 7. Kitchen helper towers with side rails typically hold a little more, given their sturdier frame.

Once your child's step stool is sorted, it's worth thinking about the rest of the room around it. Many of our customers pair a step stool with a kids desk for independent homework time, a toddler bed to complete the move from cot, or a dehumidifier or air purifier to keep a child's bedroom fresh year-round.
