Outsunny Wood Planter with Trellis - Raised Bed Box, Grey 845-127V00GY is a compact vertical planter with a 149.5cm trellis — ideal for patios, balconies and small gardens. Solid fir construction (72.5 x 31.5cm footprint, 45L) includes drainage holes, rot resistance and a 25kg load limit; assembly takes about 15 minutes. FastDaddyshop consultants recommend an annual coat of exterior wood oil to prolong life in UK weather and advise using the unit for planting, not as a load-bearing structure.
This Outsunny wooden trellis planter is a practical and attractive raised bed box ideal for patios, balconies and small gardens across the UK. Constructed from solid fir wood (net weight 6.6kg) with a 149.5cm rear trellis, it gives 72.5L x 31.5W x 149.5H cm of growing space for herbs, bedding plants and climbers such as clematis or sweet peas. Our FastDaddyshop consultants often recommend this model because the fir construction is more rot-resistant and breathable than most plastic alternatives, while remaining cooler in summer than metal planters. Assembly is straightforward and typically takes around 15 minutes for one person.
Key practical notes from our managers: the box supports a weight capacity of 25kg (do not exceed this when fully loaded), includes drainage holes to avoid waterlogging, and the rear net board provides a vertical growing area up to 1.495m — better for climbing plants than short troughs. From experience, treating the timber annually with an exterior wood oil prolongs life in British weather. As an expert warning, this unit is designed for plants and decorative use only and is not load-bearing for people or heavy fixtures.
