The HOMCOM 10-Cube Slim Bookcase with Solid Wood Legs, Oak 836-729V00AK is an upright, space-saving shelving solution designed for narrow British homes and halls. At 140 cm wide x 24 cm deep x 107 cm high, this 3-tier, 10-cube unit maximises vertical storage without eating into floor space — its 24 cm depth is typically 6 cm shallower than many standard bookcases (commonly 30 cm), so it keeps corridors and compact living rooms feeling more open. From the experience of our FastDaddyshop managers, the combination of ten open compartments and a total load capacity of 90 kg (10 kg per cube) makes this oak-effect bookshelf ideal for books, A4 files, storage baskets and decorative items.
Supported on six pine legs with 13 cm clearance to the floor, the oak-finish bookshelf benefits from a raised base that helps with cleaning (vacuum or mop access) and reduces damp risk on hard floors. Our consultants often recommend pairing the larger compartment (45 x 22 x 29.5 cm) with woven baskets and the smaller (33.5 x 22 x 29.5 cm) for books and folders to keep weight evenly distributed — this helps you stay well under the 90 kg total limit. The melamine surface wipes clean at typical room temperatures (recommended cleaning with a damp cloth only) and the supplied anti-tip kit improves safety in family homes and flats. Assembly is required; on practice, two people and about 45–60 minutes are usually sufficient. As an expert caution, always secure the unit to the wall in households with small children or pets to prevent tipping — the anti-tip hardware provided meets this purpose.
