FastDaddyshop consultants recommend fixing to a stud or using suitable plasterboard anchors for secure, long‑term use.
The HOMCOM 4-Cube Wall CD & DVD Rack Walnut Brown 833-134V00WN is a space-saving wall-mounted media organiser designed for UK homes and home offices. This walnut-finish particle board unit provides four neat compartments to store your collection without cluttering the floor — ideal when floor space is at a premium. Our FastDaddyshop consultants often recommend this 4-cube CD organiser for compact rooms because its overall footprint is only 95L x 17W x 18H cm, yet it keeps up to 60 CDs tidy across the four grids (around 15 standard jewel-case CDs per cube).
From the experience of FastDaddyshop managers, the unit’s 10 kg weight capacity is ample for typical media use: 60 CDs in standard cases weigh approximately 6–9 kg in total, so you remain well within the safe limit provided you distribute weight evenly between compartments. Compared with freestanding shelving, a wall-mounted media rack like this frees up floor space and offers a cleaner display — and compared with metal racks, the particle board walnut finish gives a warmer, more homely aesthetic. On practice, we advise fixing the rack to a stud or using suitable wall anchors for plasterboard walls to achieve the full 10 kg load rating and long-term stability.
Assembly is required and straightforward with the supplied manual. For longevity, avoid installing in high-humidity areas (such as bathrooms) and keep out of direct sunlight; typical indoor storage conditions of 5–35°C are ideal for particle board furniture.
