FastDaddyshop presents an expert-curated look at the HOMCOM Velvet Single Sofa Armchair (model 83B-275V70GY), a grey velvet accent chair with a contemporary striped design and turned rubberwood legs. From the practical experience of our consultants, this snuggle chair is best suited to living rooms and bedrooms where a wide, cosy seat — 90W x 52D x 41H cm — and a supportive back are priorities. The overall footprint is 115W x 82D x 82H cm, so allow for at least 10–20 cm clearance at the sides for ease of access.
Compared with slimmer lounge chairs, the HOMCOM armchair’s 12 cm seat thickness and 24 cm back cushion give noticeably firmer, more lasting support during extended use such as reading or watching TV. Our consultants often recommend this grey velvet armchair for adults up to the stated weight capacity of 120 kg; as a practical caution, avoid sharing the seat between two adults at once and do not exceed the load limit. The 12 cm rubberwood legs raise the chair to an arm height of 56 cm from the floor, making it easier to stand from for users with reduced mobility. In practice, the long armrests (13W x 61D cm) and extra-large seat create a roomy single-seater that feels more like a small two-seater than a compact accent chair.
Based on observations from our consultants, the velvet cover (polyester) presents a luxurious finish but will show creasing and marks if sat on repeatedly in the same spot; vacuum with a soft brush attachment and avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the colour. The chair’s compact depth (82 cm) makes it preferable to bulky three-seaters in smaller flats, while the black colour option offers a bolder, easier-to-maintain alternative if you expect heavy use or pets. For assembly, one person can often complete the job, but based on the experience of FastDaddyshop store managers a second person is useful when aligning the seat and back. Tighten the leg fixings securely and check the adjustable non-slip feet for stability on uneven floors.
