HOMCOM 127L Storage Chest with Seat - Grey 838-480V84GY

HOMCOM 127L Storage Chest with Seat - Grey 838-480V84GY

Compact, practical and designed for everyday family use: the HOMCOM 127L Storage Chest with Seat in grey wood-effect combines a roomy 127-litre interior with a flat top that doubles as a bench. From the practical experience of our consultants at FastDaddyshop, this storage trunk (often searched for as a blanket box, toy chest or storage bench) works well in hallways, at the end of a bed or in a living room where a sturdy, supportive seat is useful.

The particleboard construction is finished with a smooth melamine coating for easy wiping and a timber-look appearance. The lid is fitted with safety hinges to prevent accidental slamming and the flat top has a total load capacity of 136 kg — robust enough for adult seating when used as a temporary bench. Internal storage weight capacity is 25 kg, so keep heavier items distributed on the lid rather than stacked inside. Based on observations from our consultants, this is a better option than a soft ottoman where rigid support and a clean-lined wood finish are preferred; unlike outdoor plastic deck boxes, this unit is intended for indoor use and should be kept away from prolonged moisture to avoid particleboard swelling.

Features:

• 127 L capacity. Large and spacious for storing plenty of home items
• Safety hinges prevent lid from slamming. Won't slam down suddenly or hurt you
• U-shaped lid cutout to open/close easily
• Flat lid top doubles up as seat. Add a cushion for comfort
• Stable particle board structure in classic wood effect finish. Smooth and protective melamine coating
• Anti-slip foot pads gently protect floors
• Maximum load 136 kg, easy to assemble

Our consultants often recommend placing lighter textiles (blankets, cushions, throws) inside and reserving the lid for occasional seating to stay within the specified 25 kg internal storage limit. Assembly is straightforward with the included manual; allow about 20–30 minutes depending on DIY experience. Practical caution: although the melamine finish resists everyday marks, avoid long-term exposure to humidity or direct water contact to protect the particleboard core.
