HOMCOM Wooden Light-Up Christmas Advent Sleigh, Natural Wood 830-418 is a natural plywood advent sleigh with 24 equal pull-out drawers and ten LED lights, a reusable seasonal centrepiece. At 45 x 10 x 31 cm (drawer inner 2.8 x 3 x 3.6 cm) it’s compact for mantelpieces and consoles, sturdy for repeated use. Lights use 2 x AA batteries (not included) and the sleigh arrives pre-assembled; FastDaddyshop consultants recommend it for smaller rooms or as a durable keepsake.
Sleigh bells and a handcrafted scene: the HOMCOM Wooden Light-Up Christmas Advent Sleigh (Item 830-418) is a natural-wood, plywood advent calendar designed as a decorative sleigh with 24 pull-out drawers for a traditional countdown. From the practical experience of our consultants, this piece is best described as a seasonal keepsake rather than a disposable candy calendar — the plywood construction is intended for repeated use year after year and sits neatly on a mantelpiece, side table or dining console at 45W x 10D x 31H cm.
Key points our store managers observe: the calendar features 24 empty drawers (drawer inner measurement 2.8W x 3D x 3.6H cm) so you can fill each with small gifts, notes or chocolates. There is an inconsistency in earlier marketing text that mentions five LEDs, but the specification and features list the light count as 10; based on the experience of FastDaddyshop store managers, the specification stating ten LED lights is the reliable figure to use when comparing light-up wooden advent calendars. The lights run from 2 x AA batteries (not included), and the pre-assembly design means you won’t need tools to get the unit ready for display.
How it compares: versus single-use paper calendars, a wooden advent sleigh such as this offers superior durability and a more authentic, rustic aesthetic for a family home. Compared with larger village advent displays, the compact dimensions of 45 x 10 x 31 cm make this model preferable where space is limited — our consultants often recommend it for flats, smaller living rooms and as a focal piece on smaller mantels. From the practical experience of our consultants, if you want lots of room for larger gifts, you should consider a calendar with deeper drawers, but for small treats and notes this HOMCOM sleigh is well proportioned.
Practical cautions: the drawers measure just 2.8 x 3 x 3.6 cm internally, so they will only accept small items — we advise checking sweets and toys for suitability. It is also sensible to supervise young children when opening drawers because of small parts; based on observations from our consultants, this product is best for family use where adults can manage tiny items. Use only matching AA batteries and do not mix old and new batteries or different brands. The unit is for indoor decorative use; avoid exposure to damp or extremes of temperature to preserve the plywood finish.
