This DURHAND 10m wall-mounted auto-rewind hose reel (Dark grey/Orange, model 845-260V00OG) is a compact, lightweight solution for routine garden watering and light-duty cleaning. From the practical experience of our consultants, its 10m hose length and 12mm outer diameter (8mm inner) suit most small to midsize UK gardens and patios, while the reel’s net weight of 3.9kg makes wall installation straightforward without heavy-duty fixings. Based on the experience of FastDaddyshop store managers, customers often prefer this type of plastic, impact-resistant reel over heavier steel cabinets when portability and corrosion resistance are priorities.
Key performance figures to note: the reel includes a 1m connecting hose, a 180° swivel mounting bracket and a seven-pattern spray nozzle for tasks ranging from delicate plant watering to washing down patios and cars. Working pressure is rated at 10 bar with a burst pressure of 30 bar; our consultants often recommend checking your supply pressure and fittings before prolonged high-pressure use. Working temperature is specified as -5–45℃ — a practical caution: avoid leaving the hose exposed to sub-zero conditions when water remains inside, as freezing can damage the PVC hose and fittings.
Comparatively, a 20m hose reel suits larger plots but adds weight and requires a larger mounting footprint; in practice, our consultants often recommend the 10m model for drives, balconies and front lawns where manoeuvrability and neat storage matter more than maximum reach. Installation advice from FastDaddyshop store managers: fix the 180° swivel bracket into a solid wall (brick or treated timber) using the supplied fixings, check the swivel clears adjacent obstructions and periodically inspect the auto-rewind mechanism for debris. Practical caution: do not exceed the 10 bar working pressure and drain the hose for winter storage if temperatures regularly fall below -5℃.
