The PawHut 80cm sisal cat scratching post is a compact, freestanding claw post designed for flats and smaller homes where space is at a premium. At 80 cm tall with a 39.5 x 39.5 cm particleboard base and 220 GSM long plush, this dark grey and cream scratcher gives cats a dedicated place to stretch, sharpen claws and mark territory — protecting sofas, beds and curtains. From the practical experience of our consultants, the lightweight design (easy to lift between bedroom, living room or beside a sunny window) is ideal for owners who need mobility rather than a heavy multi-level tower.
Our consultants often recommend this model for single-cat households or for owners of lighter breeds (up to 5 kg). Based on observations from our consultants, if your cat weighs more than 5 kg or is an enthusiastic climber, a wider-base or multi-post cat tree will offer better stability. Assembly takes around five minutes with the included manual; in practice this means one person can fix the post together using the supplied fittings.
Practical cautions: the particleboard base and single-column design are intended for cats up to 5 kg — do not allow large or multiple cats to jump repeatedly from height onto the post as this may reduce stability. Keep the post away from open radiators or humid environments to preserve the sisal and chipboard. For routine care, vacuum loose fibres and wipe the plush with a damp cloth; avoid soaking the post.
