Bringing the seaside experience to your own back garden has never been easier with the Outsunny Kids Wooden Sandbox with Adjustable Height Cover, Bottom Liner, Seat, Plastic Basins. This premium sand play station is designed to provide a secure environment for toddlers to develop fine motor skills through sensory play. Unlike cheaper plastic models that crack under direct UV exposure, this unit is constructed from robust fir wood, ensuring longevity in the unpredictable British climate.
Our consultants often recommend this specific model due to its integrated canopy. Unlike static covers that offer minimal protection, this adjustable version allows you to set the height between 18cm and 110cm from the ground, ensuring your children remain protected from harsh midday sun while maintaining adequate airflow. From the practical experience of our consultants, this feature is essential for parents who want to ensure prolonged outdoor play without the risk of overheating.
The unit features a bottomless design which is superior to solid-base containers as it facilitates natural drainage and prevents water from pooling after rainfall, which would otherwise lead to damp, unusable sand. The included non-woven bottom liner serves as a critical barrier, preventing weeds from penetrating the sand while keeping the area clean. With a generous internal dimension of 17.5H x 73L x 89Wcm, it comfortably accommodates two children aged 3-7 years, providing a collaborative space for building sandcastles or imaginative play.
Safety Caution: While this wooden sand pit is treated for outdoor use, we advise covering the sandbox completely when not in use to prevent garden debris or local wildlife from contaminating the sand. Ensure the wooden surfaces are checked seasonally for splinters as part of standard maintenance. The 50kg weight capacity should not be exceeded to maintain the structural integrity of the base frame.
