HOMCOM Under Sink Storage Cabinet with Adjustable Shelf, 2 Doors, Grey and Oak provides an elegant, space-saving solution for modern British bathrooms. Featuring a customisable internal shelf and a precision-engineered 'U' cut-out for standard pedestal pipes, this cabinet elevates your décor while concealing bathroom essentials behind durable, moisture-resistant cabinetry. Our FastDaddyshop consultants recommend this unit for its elevated base, which protects your stored items from wet floors; please confirm your pipe dimensions before purchase to ensure a perfect fit.
Maximising storage in a compact bathroom has never been more straightforward than with this HOMCOM under-sink vanity unit. Combining a sophisticated grey and oak colour palette with a versatile, slightly retro aesthetic, this cabinet provides a functional solution to decluttering your washroom while seamlessly integrating with modern or traditional decor. From a technical workshop perspective, the unit is engineered from a high-quality blend of MDF and particle board, ensuring a robust structure capable of supporting a generous maximum load of 50kg.
The unit features a practical 20W x 22D cm 'U' shaped cut-out, specifically designed to accommodate standard pedestal sink piping. Inside, the inclusion of an adjustable shelf allows for a bespoke storage layout, meaning you can easily house taller bottles of cleaning essentials alongside smaller toiletries. Two doors provide the necessary privacy to keep your bathroom accessories neatly tucked away and out of sight. Based on observations from our consultants, the elevated base is a crucial design choice for UK bathrooms; by raising the unit slightly off the floor, it effectively protects the interior from incidental water spills and dampness, prolonging the lifespan of the wood-composite materials.
When comparing this unit to open-shelf alternatives, this closed-door cabinet is significantly more suitable for families or those who prefer a minimalist, serene bathroom environment. While open shelving can quickly gather dust and clutter, this two-door cupboard maintains a streamlined appearance, which we find is the preferred choice for maintaining a tidy, spa-like aesthetic. Engineering notes from our product team show that the internal storage dimensions of 57.5W x 27.5D cm provide an optimal footprint for most standard UK pedestal sinks, provided the sink pedestal does not exceed 57W x 28D cm. Please note, this cabinet is strictly for use with wall-mounted or pedestal-mounted basins and is not suitable for floor-standing vanity sinks.
