For those seeking a versatile garden furniture solution, the Outsunny 2 Seater Rattan Folding Daybed Sofa offers a clever blend of traditional aesthetics and modern utility. As a compact yet functional piece, this convertible rattan garden sofa serves dual purposes: functioning as an upright loveseat for morning coffee or transforming into an elongated daybed for afternoon relaxation. From the practical experience of our consultants, this piece is ideal for smaller patios or conservatory settings where space-saving furniture is a priority over expansive, modular sets.
The construction centres on a robust, powder-coated steel frame wrapped in high-quality PE wicker. This combination provides the classic woven look synonymous with premium garden loungers while offering superior resistance to UV rays and light British weather. Technical data evaluated by our service team reveals that the reinforced steel structure is capable of supporting a maximum load of 220kg, which is remarkably high for a 2-seater configuration of this footprint. However, please note that while the materials are weather-resistant, we strongly recommend storing the cushions indoors during heavy rain or winter months to maintain the longevity of the upholstery.
In terms of comfort, the inclusion of thick, plush cushions for the seat, back, and arms creates a supportive environment for lounging. The adjustable armrests are the standout feature here; when fully extended, the sofa stretches to 167cm in length, providing a comfortable space to recline. Compared to a static garden bench, this convertible design is far more suitable for those who suffer from back discomfort, as the ability to lay flat allows for a full-body resting position. The four slightly angled legs ensure the structure remains stable on uneven decking or patio stones, minimising the risk of wobble during the transition between sofa and bed modes.
