For those looking to maximise their garden space, the Outsunny 2 Seater Rattan Folding Daybed Sofa offers a clever, space-saving solution. Serving as both a compact outdoor sofa and a functional garden daybed, this piece is designed for versatility. Whether you are hosting a morning coffee session or require an impromptu spot for an afternoon nap, the 2-in-1 design allows you to transition between seating and lounging by simply adjusting the side armrests.
Our store product specialists highlight that the build quality is centred around a robust, powder-coated steel frame. This internal structure is hand-wrapped in weather-resistant PE rattan, which provides a classic, natural aesthetic that complements most patio or conservatory settings while offering protection against light moisture and UV degradation. In practice, the inclusion of the thick, plush cushion set—covering the seat, back, and sides—transforms a standard utility piece into a comfortable sanctuary for relaxation.
When comparing this model to rigid, non-folding outdoor seating, this Outsunny daybed is significantly more practical for smaller balconies or decking areas. While a standard sofa takes up a fixed footprint, this piece extends from a 129cm sofa to a 167cm bed, providing essential extra length for taller users without requiring permanent floor space. Engineering notes from our product team show that the four slightly angled legs are pivotal for maintaining balance on uneven lawn surfaces; however, we advise ensuring the unit is placed on a level patio or paved area to maintain optimal weight distribution up to the 220kg limit.
Regarding maintenance, the PE wicker is notably low-maintenance, requiring only a gentle wipe with a damp cloth and mild sanitiser to keep it looking pristine. As a practical caution, while the rattan is resilient, we recommend storing the fabric cushions indoors during prolonged heavy rainfall or the winter months to prevent water retention and potential mould growth in the padding.
