Outsunny 2x 60x60cm Steel Planters - Light Green 845-041V01YG

Outsunny 2x 60x60cm Steel Planters - Light Green 845-041V01YG | Outsunny steel planter boxes (Set of 2)

The Outsunny 2x 60x60cm Steel Planters in Light Green (item 845-041V01YG) are a practical, low-maintenance solution for patios, balconies and garden borders across the UK. Each galvanised steel bed measures 30.5cm high × 60cm long × 60cm wide and—thanks to the open-base design—gives plants direct contact with garden soil for better drainage and root development. From our experience at FastDaddyshop, each planter holds approximately 48 litres of soil (approx. 0.048 m³) and weighs around 8 kg per bed (approx. 16 kg per set), making them easy to position by two adults; assembly is straightforward and normally takes 15–25 minutes for the pair using the supplied manual.

Our consultants often recommend these raised beds over untreated timber planters because galvanised steel resists rot and pests and typically lasts 3–5× longer in wet UK conditions. Unlike closed-bottom plastic planters, these metal beds avoid water build-up and reduce root rot risk at temperatures typical for the UK (winter lows of -5°C to -10°C). Practical note from our managers at FastDaddyshop: avoid placing the planters on delicate decking without a protective pad—metal can transfer heat in summer (surface temperatures can exceed ambient by 10–15°C in direct sun) and may leave marks on soft surfaces.
