HOMCOM Freestanding Industrial Shelf with Wine Rack, Black 838-647V00BK — a slimline five‑tier shelving unit (59 x 40 cm footprint) with integrated wine rack and six movable hooks to maximise organised storage in UK kitchens. X‑braced metal frame, adjustable feet and an anti‑tip strap give secure support while black melamine particleboard shelves complement modern décor. FastDaddyshop consultants advise anchoring the anti‑tip strap and evenly distributing loads for stability and child safety.
For kitchens and dining areas where counter space is precious, the HOMCOM Freestanding Industrial Shelf with Wine Rack, Black 838-647V00BK delivers organised, accessible storage without compromising style. This five-tier freestanding shelving unit (footprint 59 x 40 cm, height 143.5 cm) combines a dedicated wine rack, roomy shelves and six movable hooks to keep bottles, crockery and everyday utensils neatly separated. From the experience of our FastDaddyshop consultants, a compact footprint under 0.24 m² is often better for small UK flats compared with larger 60–80 cm wide units, as it frees up floor area while still holding practical loads.
The frame’s X-bracing, adjustable feet and anti-tip strap offer increased stability and safety for regular household use — important when the total weight capacity is 28 kg (5 kg per shelf, 5 kg for the wine rack, 3 kg per hook). From the store managers’ practice, we recommend evenly distributing weight and not exceeding the specified limits to avoid frame distortion; for reference, 5 kg is approximately the weight of seven standard 750 ml wine bottles. The black particleboard and metal finish integrates with modern and industrial interiors for a clean, organised look.
Practical notes from FastDaddyshop: assembly is required and typically takes one person about 30–45 minutes with common tools; ensure the anti-tip strap is secured to a solid wall at a recommended height aligning with the unit’s top (as per manual). Clean with a damp cloth at room temperature (around 15–25°C) and avoid abrasive cleaners to preserve the black finish. For households with young children, we advise following the weight limits strictly and using the anti-tip fixings — at FastDaddyshop we often recommend anchoring freestanding units where children under 5 are present.
