HOMCOM 6-Tier Open Bookcase, 17 Compartments - White 836-730V00WT

FastDaddyshop presents an expert-curated description of the HOMCOM 6-Tier Open Bookcase (also sold as the HOMCOM 6-tier open storage unit or 17-compartment shelving unit) — a space‑saving freestanding bookshelf engineered for modern UK homes. With 17 compartments in two heights and a slim 23.6 cm depth, this unit (overall 149W x 23.6D x 188H cm) maximises vertical storage without crowding narrow hallways or small living rooms. Our consultants often advise choosing this model when you need to balance storage capacity and footprint: at circa 23.6 cm deep it is roughly 20–25% slimmer than many standard bookcases of 30–32 cm depth, making it better suited for corridors and flats.

Designed from particleboard with an MDF back panel and a hardwearing melamine finish, the shelf supports a total load of up to 85 kg (and up to 5 kg per individual shelf). From the experience of FastDaddyshop managers, the two adjustable side shelves (each adjustable in three positions at 3.2 cm increments) allow you to accommodate standard paperbacks (circa 20 cm high), taller hardbacks and decorative items up to 34.5 cm high in the larger compartments. Anti‑tipping hardware is supplied — on practice we recommend anchoring the unit to a wall in homes with children or pets (especially for households with children aged under 6) to reduce the risk of tipping. Assembly required; please follow the manual and torque recommendations to ensure stability.
