HOMCOM Double Canopy Metal Bed Frame with Headboard – Black 83D-255V00BK. A four‑poster UK double (135 x 190 cm) metal platform that works as a durable centrepiece for main or guest bedrooms. Its spray‑coated steel frame with six legs, 12 slats and a 240 kg capacity plus an EVA‑padded centre bar and clip‑together joints minimise squeaks for steadier, quieter shared sleep while leaving practical under‑bed clearance. FastDaddyshop consultants recommend pairing with a 20–30 cm mattress and light sheers or a mosquito net for privacy and proportion.
FastDaddyshop’s expert review: the HOMCOM double canopy metal bed frame is a four‑poster, UK double-size platform bed designed for steady, quieter shared sleep and a neater bedroom. With overall dimensions of 141W x 197.5D x 191H cm it fits a standard UK double mattress (135 x 190 cm) and leaves an under-bed clearance of 29.5 cm for storage boxes or small drawers. From the practical experience of our consultants, the spray‑coated steel frame and patterned headboard offer a durable look that suits both main bedrooms and guest rooms.
Our consultants often recommend this metal canopy bed frame over lightweight tubular frames because the six‑leg design and 12 slats give a firmer platform and the EVA padding on the central support bar reduces movement noise — a useful feature for couples. Based on observations from our consultants, if you prefer a higher-profile mattress choose between 20–30 cm thickness to preserve the bed’s intended aesthetic and headboard proportion. Practical caution: do not exceed the stated weight capacity of 240 kg (combined occupant and mattress weight) and avoid suspending heavy objects from the canopy posts — they are intended for light fabrics such as mosquito nets or sheer drapes.
Based on the experience of FastDaddyshop store managers, assembly is straightforward thanks to the clip-on connections but we recommend two people for alignment and tightening. Measure any under-bed storage boxes before purchase — the 29.5 cm clearance suits shallow boxes and seasonal storage but will not accommodate taller containers. If you need a canopy bed with a softer silhouette, consider pairing this metal frame with sheer drapes; if you prefer a warmer finish, a wooden canopy frame may suit better, but will usually cost more and require different maintenance.
