HOMCOM Space-Saving Extendable Dining Table - Oak Effect 83A-615V00AK converts smoothly from a compact 70 x 70 cm square to a 140 x 70 cm table on steel rails, seating four without sacrificing floor space. A concealed under‑table cubby keeps cutlery and small kitchen essentials out of sight, while melamine‑coated particleboard and non‑slip felt pads make the table low‑maintenance and floor‑friendly. FastDaddyshop consultants recommend this as a practical centrepiece for small flats and advise two people for assembly and not overloading the fold‑down leaves (5 kg limit).

Ideal for compact UK homes, the HOMCOM Space-Saving Extendable Dining Table in Oak Effect is a practical, modern farmhouse solution for kitchens and small dining areas. The table measures 70 x 70 cm when folded and extends smoothly to 140 x 70 cm on steel rails, comfortably seating four adults. From the practical experience of our consultants, this model strikes an excellent balance between everyday convenience and occasional guest use: the overall table carries up to 80 kg, while the folded leaf is rated to 5 kg — a useful figure to bear in mind when storing heavier items in the hidden cubby.
Based on the experience of FastDaddyshop store managers, this folding dining table is preferable to many fixed options if you need to free up floor space quickly. It sits flush to a wall to reclaim walking room, and with 63.5 cm clearance beneath the tabletop it offers reasonable legroom compared with low coffee-table style alternatives. The melamine-coated particleboard resists spills and scratches for daily family life, but in practice we recommend using trivets for very hot pans and avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to reduce the risk of fading or edge swelling. Assembly is required; our consultants often recommend two people for safe, accurate fitting and a typical build time of 20–40 minutes if you have basic tools to hand.
In comparison with larger, heavier dining tables, the HOMCOM folding table is lighter and easier to manoeuvre — the design is optimised for small flats, student housing or secondary dining spaces. A practical caution from our consultants: do not overload the fold-down leaf beyond its 5 kg limit and ensure the steel rails are kept free of debris for long-term smooth operation.
