The HOMCOM 5ft Real-Feel Hinged Xmas Tree (item 83C-297V00GN) is a compact, high‑density artificial Christmas tree designed to give the visual impact of a natural fir without the mess. With 513 main branch tips — each arranged in 13‑tip clusters — the tree achieves impressive fullness and a soft, authentic touch thanks to mixed PE and PVC foliage. Anchored on a robust fir wood base (Φ50 x 22H cm) and standing Φ96 x 150H cm overall, this 5ft hinged tree is especially well suited to living rooms, hallways and smaller office spaces where a 6ft or 7ft option would overpower the room.
From the practical experience of our consultants at FastDaddyshop, the hinged tips make assembly straightforward: the branches drop into place automatically, leaving 30–50 minutes of manual shaping to obtain maximum natural fullness. The foliage is flame‑retardant PE and PVC, which slows fire spread; however, based on observations from our consultants, you should still position the tree away from open flames and direct heating sources as a safety precaution. Our consultants often recommend this model to customers who want the realism of PE tips with the durability of PVC and the stability provided by a wooden base — a nicer aesthetic than a metal stand and a sturdier profile for heavier ornaments.
Based on the experience of FastDaddyshop store managers, this HOMCOM 5ft real‑feel hinged artificial Christmas tree is a practical, low‑maintenance choice for UK homes seeking a genuine look without real‑needle upkeep. For smaller rooms or flats it is preferable to taller trees because it offers easy storage (sectional trunks) and quicker assembly, while still delivering a dense, decorative finish suitable for most standard ornaments. Practical caution: allow the recommended shaping time and store the tree in a cool, dry place between seasons to prolong life and maintain needle integrity.
