The HOMCOM Geneva Fir 7ft Hinged Christmas Tree (model 83C-298V02GN) is a 210 cm artificial tree designed to deliver a full, realistic festive centrepiece without the maintenance of a living tree. Constructed with 2,079 PE and PVC branch tips and a Geneva Fir silhouette, it produces a dense, soft appearance that suits living rooms, hallways and communal spaces. From the practical experience of our consultants, this tree offers a good balance between fullness and footprint: with an overall diameter of 106 cm it fills larger rooms better than slim or pencil varieties while still fitting comfortably into most UK living spaces.
Setup is straightforward: the 3‑section trunk and pre‑attached hinged branch tips drop into place quickly. Based on observations from our consultants, actual assembly of the trunk and base takes only a few minutes; plan an additional 30–50 minutes (see specification) to manually shape branch tips for maximum natural fullness. Our consultants often recommend using around 600–800 LED lights (roughly 700 LEDs as a guideline) for an evenly illuminated 7 ft tree, although your preference for a subtle or bright display will determine the final count.
Practical cautions from FastDaddyshop store managers: the branch tips are flame‑retardant for extra safety but they are not fireproof — keep the tree at a sensible distance from open flames, heaters or naked candles and avoid placing it directly in front of heat registers. Also, do not overload individual branches with heavy glass baubles; distribute decorations evenly and favour lightweight ornaments for best shape retention. In practice, the foldable heavy‑duty steel base gives reliable stability on carpet and hard floors, but position the tree on a level surface and tighten the trunk connections to prevent wobble.
Alternative search terms shoppers use include HOMCOM 7ft hinged artificial Christmas tree, Geneva Fir 7ft artificial tree and HOMCOM 83C-298V02GN green tree. Based on the experience of FastDaddyshop store managers, this model is preferable for buyers who want a full, traditional look without the upkeep of a real tree; if you need something for a narrow hallway or very small room, consider a slim 7 ft option instead. For storage, the hinged tips and foldable steel stand make compact seasonal packing straightforward — store in a dry place between 0–25°C to protect the PVC/PE foliage and ensure long service life.
