HOMCOM 140cm Floating TV Stand – Black 83B-601V81BK is a compact wall‑mounted media unit that frees floor space and creates a low‑profile, minimalist centrepiece for TVs up to 72". Its handle‑free fluted doors hide flip cabinets and a cable hole, with a melamine‑faced MDF surface and max load 20 kg — top 10 kg, 5 kg per cabinet. FastDaddyshop consultants recommend checking your TV’s weight, mounting heavier screens and fixing the unit into masonry or timber studs using suitable fixings.
The HOMCOM 140cm floating TV stand in black is a compact, wall-mounted entertainment unit for those who favour a contemporary, uncluttered living space. From the practical experience of our consultants at FastDaddyshop, this floating media console is most effective in smaller lounges, apartments or rooms where floor space matters: the 140 cm width and 22 cm height give a low-profile, cinematic look without dominating the room. The fluted doors add a considered design detail while concealing remotes, games and AV accessories in the flip cabinets.
Our consultants often recommend confirming both the screen size and the actual weight of your TV before relying on the top surface: this unit has a total maximum load of 20 kg, with a maximum of 10 kg on the top surface and 5 kg in each flip cabinet. In practice, many modern 65–75" LED and OLED TVs weigh more than 10 kg, so if your television exceeds the stated top load we advise mounting the screen independently on a wall bracket and using the HOMCOM unit as a floating media cabinet. Based on observations from our consultants, securing the unit into solid masonry or timber studs is essential for safe installation — use appropriate fixings and, where in doubt, consult a qualified fitter.
Compared with a freestanding TV cupboard, this wall-mounted option creates more visible floor area and a neater cable run thanks to the 5 cm cable hole; compared with larger 160–180 cm units, the 140 cm width is better suited for rooms where a low-slung, minimalist aesthetic is preferred. The melamine-faced finish wipes clean easily — avoid abrasive cleaners to preserve the surface. A practical caution from FastDaddyshop store managers: keep heavy AV amplifiers or receivers out of the flip cabinets unless their combined weight stays within the 5 kg per-cabinet limit.
