HOMCOM 180cm Floating TV Stand, Black 83B-601V80BK

HOMCOM 180cm Floating TV Stand, Black 83B-601V80BK — wall-mounted floating TV unit for modern UK living rooms

The HOMCOM 180cm Floating TV Stand (Item 83B-601V80BK) is a black, wall-mounted media unit that delivers a streamlined, contemporary look while hiding cables and AV clutter. From the practical experience of our consultants at FastDaddyshop, this floating TV cabinet is ideal for smaller lounges or for anyone seeking a clean, minimal aesthetic: the 180 cm width suits TVs up to 72", the melamine-faced MDF surface wipes clean with a cloth, and the fluted doors add an elevated decorative touch. Our consultants often recommend using this unit as a shelf and storage solution beneath a wall-mounted TV rather than as a platform for very heavy screens — note the specified maximum loads (total 20 kg, top 10 kg, flip cabinet 5 kg) and the 5 cm cable hole for neat cable routing.

• Two flip cabinets and a wide top keep your entertainment area clutter-free

Based on the experience of FastDaddyshop store managers, a few practical cautions: check that wall fixings are secured into suitable studs or masonry — poor fixings will compromise the floating effect and safety — and consider professional installation if you are unsure. In practice, the “fits up to 72”” specification refers to visual and width compatibility; because the top surface is rated at just 10 kg, many larger 65–72" TVs (which can weigh well over 10 kg) should be mounted to the wall above the unit rather than placed on the unit itself. For buyers seeking a heavier-duty floor-standing or thicker-top console for heavier screens, a different solid wood or metal-framed media unit with higher load ratings would be preferable. Overall, this floating TV unit (also described in some listings as a floating media console, wall-mounted TV cabinet or wall shelf for TVs) is an elegant, space-saving solution when used within the stated dimensions and load limits.
