HOMCOM 45L Touchless Kitchen Bin - Black 851-053V01BK features a 15 cm infrared hand-wave sensor for true touch-free opening and a 45-litre capacity that reduces bag changes in busy homes and small offices. The whisper-quiet lid closes in about five seconds; a removable inner bucket secures liners and simplifies cleaning, and the fingerprint-resistant finish wipes clean — runs on 4×AA and is rated for 150,000 cycles. FastDaddyshop consultants recommend it as a compact, low-maintenance alternative to pedal bins.
For households and small commercial spaces that prioritise hygiene and convenience, the HOMCOM 45L Touchless Kitchen Bin (Black, model 851-053V01BK) is a practical, low-maintenance option. From the practical experience of our consultants at FastDaddyshop, this motion-activated, hands-free kitchen bin removes the need to handle the lid when your hands are full or dirty. The top-mounted sensor opens automatically within 15 cm and the lid closes softly after approximately 5 seconds, reducing noise and odour escape. The 45-litre capacity (overall dimensions 38L x 25.5W x 67.5H cm) suits families or busy offices better than a typical 30L pedal bin, while remaining slimmer than many 50L models—making it preferable where floor space is limited.
Our consultants often recommend the HOMCOM sensor bin as an alternative to pedal or touch-lid bins because it reduces cross-contamination and offers a modern aesthetic. The removable inner bucket (37.5L x 25W x 62H cm) keeps bin liners neat and simplifies cleaning. Based on observations from our consultants, battery life depends on usage patterns: this unit requires 4 x AA batteries (not included) and, in practice, alkaline cells are a sensible choice. A practical caution — avoid exposing the sensor to direct steam or placing the bin within 10–20 cm of a cooker hob to prevent false triggers or moisture-related faults. With an advertised lifespan of 150,000 cycles, this automatic rubbish bin is built to last for sustained daily use.
