A compact, contemporary nightstand that balances style and function, the HOMCOM Two-Drawer Bedside Table in Walnut Brown (item 831-897V00WN) is designed for everyday use in UK bedrooms. The ridged drawer fronts and gold‑tone handles give a refined, tactile finish to the solid walnut-colour surface, while metal legs provide a reliable foundation. With a flat tabletop framed by low-rise walls and two storage drawers, the design keeps bedside essentials organised and within easy reach.
From the practical experience of our consultants, this bedside cabinet (also described as a nightstand or bedside chest) is particularly suited to smaller rooms thanks to its overall footprint of 50W x 40D x 50H cm. The unit's total load capacity is 40 kg — enough to support a lamp, alarm clock and occasional heavier objects when the weight is spread evenly — while each drawer has a 5 kg capacity and inner dimensions of 42W x 29D x 8.6H cm. Based on the experience of FastDaddyshop store managers, we recommend fixing the included anti-tipping straps to a studded wall and avoiding overloading drawers beyond their 5 kg limit. As MDF and particle board are vulnerable to prolonged moisture and extremes of temperature, keep this bedside table in a stable indoor environment rather than a damp room.
Practical note: our consultants often recommend placing heavier items (for example a bedside lamp with a solid base) towards the centre of the desktop to maintain stability and stay well within the 40 kg maximum load. Compared with single-drawer models, this two-drawer design gives better sorting for small items — phones, chargers and reading glasses — while the 10 cm clearance to floor makes cleaning underneath straightforward. In practice, treat this as indoor furniture only and follow the manual for straightforward assembly and secure wall attachment.
