This HOMCOM fluted 3-drawer lockable filing cabinet (model 924-108V01BK) is designed to sit neatly beside a desk and double as a compact printer stand. The unit combines a modern fluted front with gold-tone pulls and functional storage: three hanging-rail file drawers sized for A4 or letter folders, smooth silent glides and individual locks on every drawer. From the practical experience of our consultants, this vertical filing cabinet is a good choice when floor space is limited but you still need secure, organised document storage.
Practical notes and comparisons: this vertical, lockable filing cabinet (also described as a fluted filing cabinet or lockable vertical file cabinet) uses an MDF frame with a stated overall capacity of 60 kg and a 15 kg limit for the tabletop and each drawer. Our consultants often recommend checking the weight of any printer before placing it on the top surface — most compact inkjet and small laser printers weigh between about 5–12 kg and will be comfortably supported by the 15 kg tabletop, but larger multifunction lasers can exceed that and are better placed on a dedicated printer stand or a metal cabinet with higher load capacity.
Compared with a lateral filing cabinet, a vertical 3-drawer unit like this one saves floor space (40 cm wide) and is easier to position beside a desk; however, if you routinely store large volumes of documents side-by-side or require wider drawer widths, a lateral cabinet may be preferable. Note also that MDF is more susceptible to moisture than steel — avoid placing the cabinet in humid or damp spaces and clean spills promptly to prevent swelling or edge damage.
Safety and installation: the unit includes an anti-tip kit — based on observations from our consultants, always secure the cabinet to a wall or the desk as instructed in the manual, particularly if children are present. Each drawer locks independently and the package supplies six keys (two per lock), which is useful for shared workspaces or if you wish to allocate separate drawers. Assembly is required; depending on DIY experience and whether you assemble alone, expect the job to take roughly 30–60 minutes.
Terminology used by FastDaddyshop store managers for search and discovery includes HOMCOM 3-drawer filing cabinet, HOMCOM 924-108V01BK, fluted file cabinet with hanging rails, and lockable vertical file cabinet. In practice, this model balances style and security for a home office or small business needing compact, organised A4/letter filing.
