For a compact, stylish under-desk storage unit that keeps a busy home office organised, the HOMCOM 6-Drawer Mobile Filing Cabinet in oak wood effect is a practical choice. From the practical experience of our consultants at FastDaddyshop, this vertical file cabinet blends a neat, handle-free aesthetic with quiet drawer slides and four casters (two with brakes) so you can move it between rooms and lock it in place when working. The particle board construction keeps the cabinet light yet stable, with a total maximum load of 40 kg and a top capacity of 10 kg — sufficient for a lightweight inkjet printer but not recommended for heavier laser printers that weigh more than 10 kg.
Important usage notes based on our managers’ experience: the drawer inner size (28.9W x 33.1D x 5.3H cm) is relatively shallow, so these drawers are best for stationery, A5 documents, envelopes, cables and small office supplies rather than full-height A4 hanging files. If you need deep filing for A4 suspension folders, a wider metal filing cabinet or a dedicated A4 lateral unit will be preferable. Also take care not to exceed the per-drawer limit of 5 kg and avoid placing the unit in very damp environments, as particle board is more susceptible to moisture than steel.
