HOMCOM Kids Beginner Drum Kit with Mic & Stool - Red 390-022 is a compact music centre combining five drums, two cymbals, a bass pedal, piano-style keys and a toy microphone for multi‑instrument play. Sized for 3–8 years with a lightweight ABS build and included stool (77.5×40×76.5 cm; stool 24 cm Ø × 21 cm, 50 kg capacity), it develops rhythm and hand–eye coordination while remaining portable and wipe‑clean. FastDaddyshop consultants recommend rechargeable AA NiMH batteries, adult supervision and routine checks of small parts; ideal as a first instrument rather than for formal lessons.
This HOMCOM kids drum kit is a compact music centre designed for beginners: drums, piano-style keys and a toy microphone are combined into one lightweight set that encourages rhythm, coordination and imaginative play. With overall dimensions of 77.5 x 40 x 76.5 cm and a stool 24 cm in diameter by 21 cm high (stool weight capacity 50 kg), it is sized specifically for ages 3 to 8. From the practical experience of our consultants, this type of children's drum set is ideal as a first instrument where safety, portability and variety of sounds matter more than studio-grade acoustics.
Compared with full-size beginner acoustic kits, the HOMCOM toy drum kit (also described as a kids' percussion set or toy drum kit with microphone and stool) is made from stable ABS material and is noticeably lighter — easier for carers to move between rooms and for children to explore independently. Based on observations from our consultants, families who want a multi-activity toy (drumming, keyboard play and singing) will prefer this set over single-function drum pads. Practical caution: the set requires 3 AA batteries (not included) — our managers often recommend using rechargeable AA NiMH cells for longer play sessions and to reduce long-term cost. Also note the safety compliance listed below (EN71-123, EN62115), which confirms toy safety standards relevant in the UK.
In practice, FastDaddyshop store managers find this HOMCOM model most suitable for preschool and early-primary children who are exploring sound and rhythm rather than pursuing formal lessons. For older beginners seeking realistic drum feel or electronic features (metronome, recording), a dedicated children’s electronic drum set or junior acoustic kit would be preferable. Expert warning: small detachable parts and battery compartments should be checked and secured by an adult; always supervise children during play and do not expose the ABS components to prolonged heat or moisture. Based on the experience of FastDaddyshop consultants, regular wipe-cleaning and using good-quality batteries will keep the toy performing reliably.
