HOMCOM 5-in-1 Smart Door Lock – Keyless Fingerprint, Black B82-017V00BK combines semiconductor fingerprint, PIN, NFC card, Tuya/Smart Life app and mechanical key access for flexible secure entry. Semiconductor sensing gives faster, more accurate reads than optical systems, and the app allows Bluetooth control, timed authorisations and access logs for rentals or staff. Built‑in doorbell, USB‑A emergency charging and AA battery back‑up keep it practical; FastDaddyshop consultants recommend it for UK flats and managed properties seeking simple, reliable smart access.
The HOMCOM 5-in-1 Smart Door Lock (model B82-017V00BK) is a versatile keyless entry solution designed for modern UK homes, flats and small businesses. Combining fingerprint, PIN code, NFC card, Tuya/Smart Life Bluetooth app and a mechanical key, this black electronic lock reduces the hassle of lost keys and frequent guest changes. From the practical experience of our consultants at FastDaddyshop, multi-method locks like this provide better day-to-day flexibility than single-method deadbolts — especially for family households, short-term rentals or properties with frequent visitors.
Key practical figures: the lock suits door thicknesses of 35–60 mm (listed in the Specification as 3.5–6 cm), has Bluetooth control within 10 m and runs on 4 × AA batteries (not included) with a low-battery alert and dual emergency options (external USB-A to USB-C emergency charging or backup mechanical key). Based on our managers’ experience, the built-in doorbell speaker and access log tracking via the Tuya/Smart Life app are particularly useful for monitoring access and scheduled arrivals. Note the emergency charging accepts only USB-A to USB-C cables — USB-C to USB-C is not supported; our consultants often recommend keeping a suitable cable to hand for peace of mind.
Construction uses ADC12 aluminium alloy, PC and tempered glass with a solid copper cylinder for durability. The unit supports left- and right-hand handles and replaces standard locks where the mounting hole diameter is 5.4 cm. In practice, if your door is thicker than 60 mm or you need full smart-home hub integration over Wi‑Fi, you may prefer a hardwired or Wi‑Fi enabled model; for simple Bluetooth control and local convenience the HOMCOM B82-017V00BK is an economical, reliable choice.
Installation and use notes from our FastDaddyshop team: check your door thickness (3.5–6 cm) and the mounting hole diameter (5.4 cm) before ordering to avoid returns. If you are unsure about handing or cutting mortises, use a qualified fitter; incorrect fitting can affect warranty and security performance. Also bear in mind the Bluetooth range of up to 10 m — sufficient for unlocking from a porch or garden gate, but not guaranteed through multiple internal walls. For rental properties where you issue timed PINs, the NFC card and app-based code management give better control than traditional keys.
FastDaddyshop observations: this HOMCOM keyless fingerprint lock is a sensible mid-range option when you want robust materials and multiple access methods without full smart‑home wiring. Our consultants often recommend it for city apartments and managed properties where control, convenience and a visible modern finish matter. Practical caution: keep spare AA batteries and a USB-A to USB-C cable available for emergency charging, and double-check compatibility with your door dimensions before installation.
