SPORTNOW 4-in-1 Folding Magnetic Exercise Bike - Black A90-428V00BK — FastDaddyshop assessment
The SPORTNOW 4-in-1 folding magnetic exercise bike (A90-428V00BK) is a compact, multi-position indoor cycling solution that mixes quiet operation, Bluetooth connectivity and simple storage for UK homes. From the practical experience of our consultants, this model is best suited to users seeking a low-impact cardio machine that can double as a light full‑body trainer — particularly where space is limited. Key figures you should note up front: a 1.5 kg flywheel, maximum user weight 120 kg, noise level 40 dB and a folding footprint of 53.5 x 48 x 135 cm.
In practice, the bike’s eight-level magnetic resistance provides a predictable progression from gentle recovery rides to more demanding intervals, while the option to switch between upright and recumbent positions expands its use for seniors and rehabilitation. Our consultants often recommend this as an alternative to heavier flywheel indoor bikes: compared with a typical 6–8 kg flywheel used on performance trainers, the SPORTNOW’s 1.5 kg flywheel delivers a lighter, less momentum-driven feel — ideal for interval work and everyday home use, but not designed for high‑power sprint training or realistic road-feel simulation for competitive cyclists.
Connectivity is straightforward: Bluetooth pairing with apps such as ZWIFT or Kinomap turns routine sessions into immersive rides and lets you track metrics on the integrated LCD (4.7 x 2.3 cm). Based on observations from our consultants, the 12 x 12 cm phone holder accommodates most smartphones for route tracking or coaching apps. The seat (25 x 22 cm) and handlebar heights are adjustable — seat height 76–80 cm and handlebar 94–105 cm — giving a comfortable fit for a wide range of users; from the experience of FastDaddyshop store managers, customers around average UK heights find the adjustment ranges adequate, though very tall users should verify fit before purchase.
Practical cautions: the specified weight capacity is 120 kg — if you are near this limit, ensure the bike is placed on a level surface and follow the assembly torque instructions. The unit is partially pre-assembled and FastDaddyshop technicians estimate about 30 minutes for final set-up; always double-check pedal straps and fasteners after initial use. For those with heart conditions or other medical concerns, consult a GP before beginning a new exercise programme. The machine’s 40 dB noise rating is comparable to a quiet office, which makes it suitable for shared living spaces where minimal disturbance is important.
