Organise your bedroom simply and smartly with the HOMCOM 8-drawer fabric chest — a lightweight, collapsible dresser that combines practical storage with a slim 80W x 30D x 94.5H cm footprint, ideal for UK flats and spare rooms. Often recommended by our FastDaddyshop consultants for customers who need more capacity without the bulk of wooden furniture, this soft-storage chest gives eight identical drawers (each 37W x 28D x 20H cm ≈ 20.7 litres) so you can sort socks, T-shirts and trousers more effectively than in single large drawers. From the experience of our store managers, fabric drawers are better for delicate items as they reduce creasing compared with rigid wooden drawers, and the collapsible design makes long-term storage or relocation easier.
The unit includes four side pockets (29W x 86H cm) and two hooks for belts, scarves or bags, plus a steel frame with X-bars and adjustable feet for stability on uneven floors — ground clearance is 5.5 cm. Maximum safe loads are clearly stated (15 kg on the top, 3 kg per drawer, 30 kg total): on practice, our advisers stress you should not exceed these limits and always use the supplied anti-tipping kit to secure the chest to the wall, especially in homes with children. Assembly is required and typically takes around 20–40 minutes for one person with basic tools; an expert tip from FastDaddyshop: lay out all parts first and tighten screws once the frame is fully aligned to save time and avoid misassembly.
