HOMCOM 10-Cube Slim Bookcase 140cm - White Wood Effect/Oak 836-729V01WW is a narrow 10-cube shelving unit (140 × 24 × 107 cm) that maximises vertical storage in tight corridors and home offices. Two cube sizes, 13 cm floor clearance for robot vacuums and six pine legs with adjustable stabilisers give durable, easy-to-clean storage with a 90 kg total capacity. FastDaddyshop consultants recommend fitting the supplied anti-tip kit and avoiding prolonged heat or humidity.
The HOMCOM 10-Cube Slim Bookcase (also sold as the 10-cube shelving unit or narrow 10-cube bookcase) is a purpose-built solution for cramped British hallways, small living rooms and home offices. At 140W x 24D x 107H cm it maximises vertical storage while taking up just 24 cm of floor depth — a clear advantage over standard 30–40 cm deep bookcases when space is at a premium. With a total load capacity of 90 kg (each compartment rated to 10 kg) and a 13 cm clearance from floor to base, this unit combines efficient storage, solid stability and a clean, modern aesthetic.
From the experience of our FastDaddyshop managers, the combination of pine legs and a melamine surface delivers better longevity than thin plastic feet and untreated particleboard: the 6 pine legs give improved load distribution and adjustable support for uneven floors. Our advisers often recommend securing the included anti-tip kit — particularly in homes with children or pets — to meet British safety expectations. Assembly required; on practice, two people can usually assemble the bookcase in around 30–45 minutes using the supplied manual.
Practical notes from our consultants: place the unit away from direct heat sources and high humidity (recommended room temperature 15–25°C) to reduce the risk of particleboard warping. The melamine finish wipes clean easily, making it more suitable for everyday family use than unfinished shelving. For those comparing options, a slim 10-cube design like this typically offers a better footprint-to-capacity ratio than low, wide bookcases — you get ten open cubes (two sizes) for storing books, A4 files, baskets and decorative items without crowding a corridor.
