Core Products Corona 140cm Kitchen Table and 2 Bench Set Grey CRGTBSET32

The Core Products Corona 140cm Kitchen Table and 2 Bench Set in Grey is an exemplary choice for homeowners seeking a fusion of Scandinavian minimalism and robust, rustic craftsmanship. This dining configuration serves as a versatile centrepiece for kitchen-diners or contemporary open-plan spaces, providing a durable solution that bridges the gap between aesthetic appeal and daily utility.

Crafted from responsibly sourced pine, this set offers a compelling alternative to mass-produced composite furniture. While MDF or veneer alternatives may boast a lower price point, the solid pine construction of the Corona range ensures better longevity and ease of refinishing. Based on the experience of FastDaddyshop store managers, the combination of the 140cm x 80cm tabletop and matching benches creates a highly efficient footprint, perfect for tighter floor plans where traditional chair-and-table sets might obstruct high-traffic walkways.

From a technical workshop perspective, the inclusion of braced angled legs is a significant design choice. Unlike standard straight-leg configurations that can become wobbly under lateral pressure, these braces distribute the 32kg weight profile effectively, allowing for a generous 240kg weight tolerance. However, please note that because this is a flat-packed pine product, a manual screwdriver is required for assembly; we advise against using high-torque power drills to avoid stripping the timber or damaging the finish.

When positioning your new Corona 140cm dining table set, ensure it is kept away from direct heat sources such as radiators or under-floor heating manifolds, as natural pine is hygroscopic and can shrink or crack if subjected to extreme temperature fluctuations. For those weighing up their options, this bench-style arrangement is vastly superior to high-backed chairs for households with young children, as the benches can be tucked completely under the 750mm high frame to maximise floor space when the table is not in use.
