This curated guide describes the HOMCOM Media Storage Unit 835 CDs/500 DVDs Black 836-686V81BK as stocked by FastDaddyshop. Our consultants often recommend this compact media organiser for collectors who need high-capacity, tidy storage without sacrificing floor space. The unit stores up to 835 CDs (or 500 DVDs / 640 Blu‑rays), offers 27 compartments and 21 adjustable shelves for tailored layouts, and measures 100W x 24D x 175H cm — a narrow 24 cm depth that fits in alcoves, behind doors or next to AV cabinets where standard 30–40 cm shelving would not.
From the experience of our store managers, the particleboard construction with a smooth melamine finish gives a reliable daily-use surface; the unit will comfortably support a maximum overall load of 40 kg (2 kg per compartment). On practice, we advise securing the included anti‑tipping straps to a solid wall and observing the 40 kg overall limit — exceeding per-compartment loads risks deformation. For longevity, avoid placing the unit in environments above 35 °C or with sustained humidity above 60% as particleboard can swell; regular indoor temperatures of 10–25 °C are ideal.
