Core Products Freya Wide 6 Drawer Chest of Drawers Smoke Oak FR533

Core Products Freya Wide 6 Drawer Chest of Drawers Smoke Oak FR533 Review

The Core Products Freya Wide 6 Drawer Chest of Drawers in Smoke Oak (FR533) offers a robust storage solution for those prioritising organisation in a compact footprint. With a 3+3 drawer configuration, this wide sideboard-style chest is an excellent choice for bedrooms or living spaces where floor area is at a premium, yet storage capacity remains essential. Unlike taller, narrower tallboys, this model provides a lower centre of gravity, making it a safer and more stable option for households with young children or those requiring a surface for mirrors and ornaments.

Our store product specialists highlight that the smoked oak-effect finish provides a sophisticated, modern aesthetic that blends seamlessly into both contemporary and traditional interior themes. While the unit is crafted from durable manufactured board, the 15mm MDF drawer fronts ensure a solid appearance. In practice, we advise using a felt-lined drawer insert if you intend to store delicate jewellery, as this protects the MDF interior finish over extended periods of usage.

Engineering notes from our product team show that the 40.5kg weight of this Freya 6-drawer unit contributes to its overall sturdiness once fully assembled. Please note that because the unit is delivered flat-packed, we strongly recommend two people for assembly to ensure the structural integrity of the frame is maintained during the 60-minute build process. Ensure you have a flat, carpeted surface available to prevent scratching the textured oak-effect finish during construction. With a total width of 107cm, this wide chest of drawers is significantly more functional for shared clothing storage than standard 3-drawer units, allowing for a structured, clutter-free bedroom environment.
